Hobbs Heirloom Wool Batting

Hobbs Heirloom® Wool is quickly becoming Hobbs most sought after batting, because of its soft and luxurious feel. Heirloom® Wool is a light weight, breathable batting that is great to cover up with. Wool generally breathes better than other fibers and acts as a natural insulator helping to maintain comfort in the summer and/or the winter. Hobbs wool batting is made with the finest washable wool in the world. It is resin bonded to provide added durability and resist bearding and migration. This wool is exceptionally easy to quilt by hand or machine and can be quilted up to 4" apart. Quilts made with this premium batting can be washed by machine (gentle cycle) or by hand. The web is dried and cured to form a bonded batting. This bonded batting resists bearding better than any other type of batting. There are many different types of fiber and resin combinations to give a desired “look” and “hand”. Combining processes, fibers and resins makes the resin bonded process the most versatile and most effective way to produce battings.
