The Siliconized fibers are easier to quilt and more washable than competitive products. Poly-Down® is the only resin bonded, Siliconized polyester batting in the world. Hobbs Thermore® was designed for clothing and miniatures but is very versatile and should be used where thin batting is needed or preferred. Hobbs Thermore® is made with 100% polyester and is surfaced treated with their unique resin bonded process, creating a polyester batting that is guaranteed not to beard or migrate. May be quilted up to 8” apart and will not shrink. Perfect for hand or machine quilting.

Hobbs Heirloom® premium 80/20 cotton blend is one of the most popular battings because it offers more loft and less weight than traditional cotton battings. Hobbs 80/20 is made with 80% natural cotton & 20% fine polyester. It is needle punched and spray bonded to provide exceptional strength and durability. Great for both hand or machine quilting. Shrinkage of 3-5% and may be quilted up to 4” apart.

What does Needle Punched mean?

This type of batting is carded or garnetted then layered to form a web. The web is then passed through needling equipment that mechanically entangles the web by using thousands of needles that lock the fiber together. This type of product works to give strength to a product while allowing for a soft hand and thinner profile vs. a high loft type product. Needle punched wool or polyester tend to migrate, but will not bunch or shift like plain garnetted or carded products. Needle punched products can be thermal bonded or resin bonded.

Cartons are economical, easy to handle and designed specifically for shipping bulk fiberfill. PLEASE NOTE: Airtex products will be drop shipped domestically.
